Children Art: Flowing Paint

Inspired by the work of Helen Frankenthaler we tried to work with fluent paint.

The Children first mixed five different hues with acrylic paint.
When satisfied with the result the paint was diluted 1:1 with medium and afterwards 1:5 with water. The consistency should allow easy flowing on the surface.
Here canvas frames were used, but paper for acrylic/oil paint or canvas board show do as well.

One color after the other of the paint mixtures were poured on the canvas.
The children tilted the frame to allow the paint to distribute. By changing the direction, flowing was controlled.

The paint layers are rather tick, therefore drying might take a while. But I couldn't wait and took some pictures anyway ;-)
